From their early recordings like “Ikawapo” and “Papa Africa” to their recent hits like “Dumkopo”, “Bopomofo” and “Porcelain”, Afrobeats has been an unstoppable musical force, and has continued to grow with them.

Growing up hearing the music of the likes of Fela Kuti, Nina Simone and the Black Panther Party, the young African musicians were inspired to create their own sound, and their music came from the heart. They were raised to respect their mother and father, to know what they wanted in life and to pursue it. Afrobeat’s message was to empower Africa through dance, and when they were on stage they had the whole Africa to hold and to hear. They were able to reach out to the masses and bring them their message through their music.
